Glossary of Mobile Legends Terms that You Must Know

If you are confused by the terms of the above sentence, Mobile Bang Bang 101 Legends this will help you to understand it. Here are the common terms and their meanings that often appear in games with the MOBA genre (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) or also known as ARTS (Action Real-Time Strategy):


A

Ace - Announcer will announce this word when all enemy Heroes die, this is an excellent opportunity to destroy the enemy Tower.

AD - Attack Damage. Hero with the ability to produce a large damage output, eg Marksman Hero class.

AFK - Away From Keyboard. Indicates the player is no longer actively playing, possibly because it just went out for no reason or felt his team had lost, breaking the internet connection, was restarting the game because of crashes, etc.

AoE - Area of Effect. Hero skill that can hit the target in a certain area.

AP - Ability Power. Hero with the ability to produce a large output ability, example Hero Mage class.

AP Mid - Indicates Hero Mage wants to take over Mid (middle) path. Generally, the usual middle path is guarded by Marksman.

ArP - Armor Penetration. The higher the Armor Penetration you have, the greater your damage to the enemy Hero that has a high-level Armor (Tank). Examples of items that can penetrate Armor well are the Wind Chaser.

AS - Attack Speed. Hero attack speed per second. Examples of US items are Scarlet Phantom. Examples of US calculations, eg Bruno who has Basic AS of 8.5 points ago he bought items Scarlet Phantom (+ 40% US) then AS Bruno increased 3.4 points to 11.9 points. Until now the admin does not have information about the limit (limit) of the US in Mobile Legends Bang Bang. But if you see from other similar MOBA games, the US limit is 100% max.

Assassin - Hero class Assassin is a Hero that has the ability to attack the Hero Carry secretly (usually from the back) without having to deal first with Hero Tank or Fighter in the front row.

B

Bait - Feed. The player on duty as a temple should try to lure enemy Hero towards another teammate who is in an invisible position (like in a bush) to then launch a sudden attack.

Bot - Bottom. Decipher the path at the bottom.

Buff - Additional effects or Boost that can be taken from the Monster in the Jungle.

Build - The item you have set to be used by the Hero you choose. Example, Balmond with Tank Build (set item with Buff Armor and HP) or Moskov with AD Build (set item with Buff Attack Speed and Critical).

Burst - Produce very large output damage in a very short time. Examples of Hero that can do Burst are Assassin Hero class, Marksman, and Mage (only certain Hero, not all Hero of the mentioned classes have a good Burst).

C

Care - Careful. Interpreting you or your teammates should be careful on certain paths. For example, Care Mid (be careful in the middle lane).

Carry - Hero is very weak at the beginning of the game but very strong at the end of the game (when it already has all the items). Hero Carry is usually a Marksman Hero or Mage. Hero Carry must be well protected by teammates so that he can bring victory later when it has all the required items.

CC - Crowd Control. A skill that can give effect Stun, Silence, etc so that enemy can not remove ability or attack at all. One example of a Hero that has a CC is a Tigreal, with his Ultimate skill he can make the enemy hit by the Stun effect and can not move at all for a while.

CD - Cooldown. The time (in seconds) you should wait before you can reuse the skill you have previously executed.

CDR - Cooldown Reduction. Each skill has CD time, you can shorten CD time by purchasing CDR item, Oracle instance. An example of CDR calculation, eg Tigreal's Ultimate skill has 36 seconds CD time, then he purchases Oracle (+ 10% Cooldown Reduction) items then the Ultimate Tigreal CD time will decrease by 3.6 seconds to 32.4 seconds.

Crit - Critical Strike. Every Hero has an opportunity to produce Critical Damage, which means 200% of Normal Damage. You can increase your chances of producing Critical Damage by purchasing items. For example, Blade of Destruction has a Critical opportunity of 20%.

D

DC - Disconnected. Disconnect internet connection. If one of your teammates is not active in the battle area, he or she may be experiencing a DC.

Debuff - Effects that cause Hero in unfavorable conditions, eg Slow effect, Stun, etc.

Dive / Diving - If your teammates say 'Be ready to dive!' Then you and the team must be prepared to attack enemy Hero in the designated Tower area. You also have to know the risk of Diving that is hit by enemy Tower strike.

DPS - Damage per Second. Damage generated per second. Marksman grade Hero has the highest DPS compared to other classes because they generally buy items that increase the US.

F

Farm - Kill the Minions or Monsters that are in the jungle to get Gold.

Feed (Fed / Feeder) - Fed (Well Fed) means one Hero manages to get the most Kill (automatically the amount of Gold and EXP owned will also be much larger). While Feeder means one Hero gets Death (Death) at most. If you see in the chat window 'Do not be a feeder!' It means that you have died too much and given many enemies Gold and EXP for free. Never attack enemies (1 vs 1) that have a higher level and Gold count than you, unless a teammate is there to help.

G

Gank - Attacking one of the enemies moving alone or alone together with your team (usually consisting of 3 or 4) unnoticed by the enemy targeted by the attack.

GG - Good Game. Demonstrate a good sportive attitude and usually said when the game ends.

GJ - Good Job. Used to praise teammates who succeeded in doing something for the team, eg killing enemy Hero, killing Lord or Turtle alone, etc.

L

Lifesteal - Get the HP from the Damage you generate to the enemy. Examples of items that have Lifesteal are Tooth of Greed. For example, you generate damage to the enemy by 100 points and you have Tooth of Greed (+ 20% Lifesteal) then you will get HP by 20 points.

M

MIA - Missing in Action. Interpret the enemy Hero on one of the paths disappears. This is a sign that you should be careful on other lines because it could be the enemy Hero preparing to do the Gank in other lines.

MS - Movement Speed. The speed of motion / run your Hero.

O

OMW - On My Way. Interpreting one of your teams is on the way to a specified location target.

OOM - Out of Mana. Interpret one of your teams out of Mana.

R

Ragequitter - Someone who abandoned the game just because it was desperate, upset or angry.

Roam - Someone who goes around the map (not keeping silent to one path) to help a teammate who is on the other line (Gank) or just farming. Roam is usually done by Assassin Hero class.

Resilience - Shorten the effects of time from Stun, Slow, etc. fractions of a second.

S

Spell Vamp - Similar to a life-steal effect that adds HP when executing an attack, the difference is, Spell Vamp will only work when you issue skill (especially Hero Mage) or produce Magic Damage.

Stun - A Debuff that allows a person can not move at all (can not walk, attack or excrete).

U

Ult - Ultimate. The last (third) skill you can get after level 4.
